Learn how to prove to yourself that WANTS ARE NEEDS TOO and yes, you do deserve nice things.

Saturday, March 21, 2026 - IN PERSON IN NYC! Paperwork Party with Artist Resource Collective

Building your Roots - Facilitator David Thomson, Artist Resource Collective (ARC) | 11 AM - 1 PM

Building Your Roots is a financial workshop that helps artists strengthen the foundations that support their lives and work. We're going to dig into practical tools to make sure you’re set up with care. We'll discuss banking, cash flow, credit & debt, and value aligned decision making as a root system for long-term growth.

Paperwork Party! - Facilitators Pam Capalad & Dyalekt, Get Shamele$s | 2 - 4 PM

If paperwork makes you anxious, you’re not alone—and it’s not you, it’s the system. Financial paperwork is designed to be confusing and high-stakes, which is why so many of us avoid it. That’s exactly why we’re hosting a Paperwork Party: because community support beats going it alone.

Bring the paperwork you’ve been dreading. We’ll provide a supportive, low-stress space and expert guidance to help you move things forward. Come as you are, bring what you have, and leave with more clarity and fewer loose ends.

Some ideas for what you can do: Apply for a new credit card or loan • Open an IRA or other investment account • Write a budget for a grant application • Review your credit report • Switch banks • Open a high yield savings account • Create cash flow projections • Fill out student loan forms

Thurs, April 16, 2026 - Get Shameless Workshop #4: How to heal your relationship with money

Artists and money have a complicated relationship. You’re often caught between “if you make money from your art, you’re a sellout” and “if you don’t make a living off your art, are you really an artist?”  Very few professions have such contradictory measures for success, so money conversations can be emotionally charged and difficult to have ❤️‍🩹

You are experts at creating something out of nothing and finding the beauty in hard things. You have dedicated your life’s work to doing things radically different and bringing your community with you. You push the edge so the center moves too. And your family still has no idea what your “job” is 🙃We see you. We know you. We are you. Start healing your relationship with money so you can be the artist the world needs you to be.

Wednesday, April 29, 2026 - Artist Resource Collective Webinar: Why Is It So Hard To Save?

What if we told you that the ability to save money has nothing to do with willpower and discipline and everything to do with your relationship to money? In this webinar, you will learn the systemic reasons why it’s hard to save, dispel common savings myths, learn the neuroscience behind money memories, and examine your own relationship with saving or not saving money.

Thurs, May 21, 2026 - Get Shameless Workshop #5: How to pay down your debt and still have a life

We’re just going to say it - this is the workshop that everyone signs up for but no one shows up for. We all have debt and we all think we’re the only ones who have it. The reality is, the credit and debt system is designed to keep you in their game for as long as possible. And the big cloud over this whole system is the blame and shame we’ve been fed because we “should have known better.” We’ll show you how the entire country systemically got pushed into debt and how you can manage your debt and still have a life.

Thurs, June 18, 2026 -Get Shameless Community Hour

We renamed Office Hours to Community Hours because well, I haven't had an office in over 10 years, never went to office hours in college, and really, this space has become such a wonderful time for us to come together and practice collective care. Come-as-you-are is your contribution.

Here’s what people are saying about our workshops!

  • "Sometimes its hard to remember that you are not alone, I felt so seen in this class it helped to know that there are mentors and other artists who you can relate to and learn from in a safe space."

  • "I'm not only inspired, I'm even more anchored in my "why" than ever before because of their ability to subtract shame from our ourselves so we're freed up to do and be our purpose work. Bravo!"

  • Pam and Dyalekt had an infectious caring energy, even over zoom. They addressed every question and comment in the zoom chat thoroughly, and made everyone feel heard, supported, and validated in the challenges we're sharing. #StrongerTogether! <3

  • "The Hip Hop interpersonal Neurobiology presentation is an amazing program. They came with a world class program. Hitting points through every genre. As a season pre senior citizen I could understand what was meant by mixing young and seasoned folks terminology. Their program hit a lot of great points on understanding in closing the wealth gap between culture norms."

  • "The presenters did an excellent job at explaining the key principles behind interpersonal neurobiology concepts. I also liked learning about the different money personalities. I know mine was spot on to what they described it to be."

  • Super engaging, wonderfully supportive, love that it was content centered within aligned philosophies and values. Thank you!!”

  • "Very relevant and so informative!!! Love it"

  • “I like that you guys talk about the complexity of money relegated issues. Too much money advice seems to to articles with 500 word limits. That artificially makes people discuss money issues like it is just a series of easy issues. Like this thread is easy to deal with. And that one. and that one, It is really a big thick hunk of cloth with all the issues woven together”

  • “Omg, yes! That resonates: financial distress correlating to higher spending. It’s been hard figuring out when/what to spend money on while unemployed…”

  • Honestly, the IPNB moments were the biggest aha's. "you don't have to reprogram anything" (pam) "can you slow down the timeline of your shame" (esther) dyalekt's stories and breathing/somatic exercise. Realizing that my cashflow projections don't lead to change unless couple with action, unless coupled with recognizing when i'm outside my window of tolerance and moving towards asking for help so: “i feel seen and heard, so now i can go back and ____[do the thing]____”

  • Pam and Dyalekt make talking about money humane, engaging and without shame! It was incredibly relieving to participate in conversations around money that take into account the nervous system.

  • This is rare and fantastic resource to help artists thrive!

  • Refreshing to not be bootstrap gaslit in a finance class, finally, omfg”

  • Just hearing the word “shame” associated with my financial history opened a whole new channel for healing it. Thanks!!

  • Thanks y’all! you made it really interesting + engaging to talk about $

  • “YES! We aren’t buying the thing we’re buying the feeling!”

  • “Liberating!!!”

  • “So helpful to see the numbers”

  • “Whew this was like a great therapy session”

  • “I AM SEEING CHANGE!@@@!!!!!”

  • “This is the most refreshing workshop I’ve experienced in ages - i feel so empowered thank you both so much! “

  • “Oh wow. Yes, savings is an action verb. It isn’t just not doing things.”

  • “Y’all are reading my whole life”

  • “Income calculator, so helpful, “how much more you need to make” 🫨”

  • “I do money dates with my partner once a quarter — good food, good wine, good music, good vibes, good convos about money”
